So called Christian or Secular artists/actors/producers- Who are they working for?
If they (Outkast/T.I./)are making music that causes young people to sin or be tempted to sin, then they aren't working for Christ.
If they use profanity, sex, drugs, violence, sexy costumes, or any other sinful thing to sell movies/records/entertainment then they cannot
be working for Christ. Therefore, if they aren't working with him, then they are working against him. Why would you glamorize those that are
fighting against Jesus? I thought you loved Jesus?

We know who you are. You went to Taft, moved to Alisa Niguel or Laguna or something like that, did some scratches on the turntables, had an Expedition for a while, used to always visit Kandace, have like 3 or 4 sisters, did multiple sports and stuff. We know who you are. However, that is not important. Does Jesus know who you are, or will you be in the group he tells to depart because he never knew you. It's easier to attack us than be honest with yourself and admit that you need to make some changes and get yourself right.

Review of Blood Diamonds

Last night I went to the movies to watch the movie Blood Diamonds starring Leonardo Dicaprio and after watching it I feel entirely different. The story of the movie is very compelling, it makes you really think about the reality of diamond trading. Blood Diamonds is filled with a great story, Love for two heteros and also a mans love for his family. If you go and watch this movie be ready for alot of graphic shots, and alot of crying. This movie In my greatest opinion is probably Leonardo's best work and he played in the character for every second of the movie.

If you aren’t quite sure what a conflict, or “blood,” diamond is, they are stones that have been smuggled out of countries at war, which are then used as a way to pay for more arms, increasing the death toll and violence in the region. Back in the late ‘90s, at the height of the conflict diamond industry, only a small percentage of these gems got into the Western market, but it was still a very viable and profitable business. It has all been curtailed greatly since then--and Sierra Leone is currently at peace--but Blood Diamond is a way to remind us how precarious it still can be. Director Ed Zwick (The Last Samurai) hammers this home with vivid images of human cruelty and suffering. But unlike its counterpart Hotel Rwanda, which concentrated on one individual and how he dealt with the atrocities, there are actually too many angles to the Diamond story, too many messages. It diffuses the film’s impact and drags it down, rather than strengthen it. Still, the diamond industry might see a decline in sales.

RIP James Brown

Mr. Brown died of congestive heart failure after being hospitalized for pneumonia, said his agent, Frank Copsidas.

Mr. Brown sold millions of records in a career that lasted half a century. In the 1960s and 1970s he regularly topped the rhythm-and-blues charts, although he never had a No. 1 pop hit. Yet his music proved far more durable and influential than countless chart-toppers. His funk provides the sophisticated rhythms that are the basis of hip-hop and a wide swath of current pop.

Mr. Copsidas said that Mr. Brown had participated in an annual Christmas toy giveaway in Augusta on Friday but had been hospitalized on Saturday. After canceling performances planned for midweek, Mr. Brown on Sunday night got his doctor’s approval to perform on Saturday in New Jersey and on New Year’s Eve at B.B. King’s nightclub in New York.

Mr. Copsidas said Mr. Brown used one of his best-known slogans to convey his dedication to his fans: “I’m the hardest working man in show business, and I’m not going to let them down.”

Through the years, Mr. Brown did not only call himself “the hardest working man in show business.” He also went by “Mr. Dynamite,” “Soul Brother No. 1,” “the Minister of Super Heavy Funk” and “the Godfather of Soul,” and he was all of those and more.

His music was sweaty and complex, disciplined and wild, lusty and socially conscious. Beyond his dozens of hits, Mr. Brown forged an entire musical idiom that is now a foundation of pop worldwide.

“I taught them everything they know, but not everything I know,” he wrote in an autobiography.

The funk Mr. Brown introduced in his 1965 hit “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag,” was both deeply rooted in Africa and thoroughly American. Songs like “I Got You (I Feel Good),” “Cold Sweat,” “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine” and “Hot Pants” found the percussive side of every instrument and meshed sharply syncopated patterns into kinetic polyrhythms that made people dance.

Mr. Brown’s innovations reverberated through the soul and rhythm-and-blues of the 1970s and the hip-hop of the next three decades. The beat of a 1970 instrumental “Funky Drummer” may well be the most widely sampled rhythm in hip-hop.

Mr. Brown’s stage moves — the spins, the quick shuffles, the knee-drops, the splits — were imitated by performers who tried to match his stamina, from Mick Jagger to Michael Jackson, and were admired by the many more who could not. Mr. Brown was a political force, especially during the 1960s; his 1968 song “Say It Loud — I’m Black and I’m Proud” changed America’s racial vocabulary. He was never politically predictable; in 1972 he endorsed the re-election of Richard M. Nixon.

Mr. Brown led a turbulent life, and served prison time as both a teenager and an adult. He was a stern taskmaster who fined his band members for missed notes or imperfect shoeshines. He was an entrepreneur who, at the end of the 1960s, owned his own publishing company, three radio stations and a Learjet (which he would later sell to pay back taxes). And he performed constantly: as many as 51 weeks a year in his prime.

Mr. Brown was born May 3, 1933, in a one-room shack in Barnwell, S.C. As he would later tell it, midwives thought he was stillborn, but his body stayed warm, and he was revived. When his parents separated four years later, he was left in the care of his aunt Honey, who ran a brothel in Augusta, Ga. As a boy he earned pennies buck-dancing for soldiers; he also picked cotton and shined shoes. He was dismissed from school because his clothes were too ragged.

He was imprisoned for petty theft in 1949 after breaking into a car, and paroled three years later. While in prison he sang in a gospel group. After he was released, he joined a group led by Bobby Byrd, which eventually called itself the Flames. At first, Mr. Brown played drums with the group and traded off lead vocals with other members. But with his powerful voice and frenzied, acrobatic dancing, he soon emerged as the frontman.

In 1955 the Flames recorded “Please Please Please” in the basement studio of a radio station in Macon, Ga. A talent scout heard it on local radio and signed the Flames to a recording contract with King Records. A second version, recorded in Cincinnati in 1956, became a million-selling single.

Nine follow-up singles were flops until, in 1958 a gospel-rooted ballad, “Try Me,” went to No. 1 on the rhythm-and-blues chart. Mr. Brown followed up with more ballads, although the Flames’ stage shows would turn them into long, frenzied crescendos. His trademark routine of collapsing onstage, having a cape thrown over him and tossing it away for one more reprise, again and again, would leave audiences shouting for more.

In 1960 Mr. Brown’s version of “Think” put a choppy, Latin-flavored beat — hinting at the funk to come — behind a sustained vocal and pushed him back into the R&B Top 10 and the pop Top 40.

My first Snowboarding experience

So friday I went to Mountain High with about 6 friends and this was my first time snowboarding and it was fun. My first run was on the bunny slopes just to get the hang of things and by the end of the bunny slope I was riding switch. So my friends thought okay he picked it up fast lets take him to a bigger slope. It was all good I fell about 2 times both on my face. So then they take me to the East side which is much bigger, so I am riding down and it got real icy and It was movin pretty fast I slow down and accidentally push forward "SPLAT". Goggle's fly off, beanie flying, I smash my head and ASS on the ground and I see white stars. So lets just say the day ended after my third run and now I wanna return to put it work and show I will do some jumps maybe next time. BTW I skatedboarded for years so I kind of had an advantage.

Diddy a Daddy again

NEW YORK - Call him P. Daddy. Sean "Diddy" Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter became the parents of twin girls Thursday morning, with the hip-hop impresario flying in from a movie set in Canada for the birth at a Manhattan hospital, said Combs spokesman Robert Zimmerman.

"Diddy received an early Christmas gift," said Zimmerman. "Both Kim and the girls are doing great."

The first arrived at 7:56 a.m., weighing in at 5 pounds, while the second girl was delivered two minutes later and weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces. There's no word on names for the new arrivals, Zimmerman said.

Combs flew in from the Toronto, where he is filming "Raisin in the Sun," and made it "just in the nick of time for the delivery," Zimmerman said.

Combs, 37, already has a son, Christian, with Porter. He's also the father of a son, Justin, with ex-girlfriend Misa Hylton-Brim.

A friend of mine had some free tickets to the Clippers vs. Raptors game and invited me to go. We were watching the game having a good time and the clippers were playing like crap. "But, we made the best of it" So the Clippers were coming back and had a chance. With 15 seconds left in the 4th quarter, game tied 96-96. The Raptors point gaurd had the ball, the Raptors run the clock down to 1 sec shoot a 15 foot jump shot and made the basket and won the game. GAME OVER.

December Movie Review

Stranger Fiction with Will Ferrell. This is one of the different movies for him that I have seem, because we are use to the "laugh out loud" "HA HA" funny movie's from this man. When you sit down and watch the movie you think okay great Will Ferrell is trying to do a serious movie but as it turns out he played a good role which I thought was one of his best. The comedy that the movie had was more you have get it humor. I highly recommend watching this movie it has comedy, an actual good and different story.

Nacho Libre with the Hilarious Jack Black. Okay so I thought the Napolean Dynamite Humor was over but it returned and Jack Black made this movie so funny. I would recommend watching this movie atleast 2 or 3 times because you see more the second time around plus the movie will make you laugh every time
